Why settle for one worker when you can have a complete team? Our Mixed Composting Worms pack combines two powerhouse species to transform your kitchen scraps and garden waste into black gold—fast.
We have paired the "sprinters" with the "heavy lifters" to create the perfect ecosystem for your wormery:
The Sprinters (Eisenia fetida / Brandlings): These voracious eaters thrive on soft kitchen waste. They reproduce quickly and work through vegetable peelings at speed.
The Heavy Lifters (Dendrobaena veneta): Larger and stronger, these worms tackle tougher, more fibrous material such as cardboard, stems, and carbon-rich bedding.
Why Choose a Mix? By combining these species, you create a self-regulating system that processes a wider variety of waste. The Eisenias handle the fresh food, while the Dendrobaenas keep the bedding aerated and break down the structural material.
The Benefits:
Less Prep Work: Because the Dendrobaenas handle coarser material, you spend less time chopping and shredding waste.
Faster Turnover: With two species working at different levels of the bin, decomposition occurs significantly more quickly than in a single-species setup.
Superior Castings: Produces a chemically diverse, nutrient-rich compost rich in microbial life.
Application: Simply add the mix to your wormery or compost bin and let them settle in. They are suitable for all standard tray systems, stacking bins, and wooden hives.
Boost your bin’s efficiency today. Order your mixed pack and let nature’s best recyclers get to work.
